Lupe Rios, Jr. a longtime resident of Knox City, Texas, passed away Monday, July 15, 2024. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm at the Knox City Cemetery, Thursday, July 18, 2024, with Father Bose Jujuvarapu officiating under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Knox City. A rosary is planned at 7:00pm, Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at the Smith Family Funeral Homes, Knox City, Texas.

Lupe was born September 16, 1965 in Knox City, Texas to Carolina (Rocha) and Guadalupe M. Rios, Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Carolina Rios of Knox City, Texas; 2 daughters, Whitney Thomas of Wichita Falls, Texas, Tiffany Rios of Rochester, Texas; sister, Christy Munoz of Wichita Falls, Texas; 3 granddaughters, Lauren Thomas, Caroline Thomas, Kaley Rios; and 1 grandson, Hunter Thomas.

He is preceded in death by his father, Guadalupe M. Rios, Sr.
