Margaret Ann Chafin

Margaret Ann Chafin, 83, a lifelong resident of Knox City, TX, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018. A funeral service will be held at 10:00a.m.,Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the Church of Christ, Knox City with Mr. Jim Hatcher officiating. Burial will follow services at the Knox City Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Knox City. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00p.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at the funeral home, 210 Ave A., Knox City, TX.

Margaret was born March 20, 1935 in Knox City, TX, to Frances (Panell) and Henry Carl Chafin, Sr. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Knox City. Margaret loved fishing and gardening.

She is survived by her two sisters, Josephine Castle of St. Jo, TX, and Nema Westmoland of Knox City; nephew, Stanley Chafin of Knox City; niece, Shannon Gillette of St. Jo, TX; and several great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Frances (Panell) Chafin; father, Henry Carl Chafin, Sr.; brother, Henry Carl Chafin, Jr.; and two nieces, Dorothy Chafin, and Donna Chafin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Mrs. Chafin's name to: Knox City Aging Center: 107 N. Ave. E., Knox City, TX 79529, and Knox City Church of Christ: 507 SE 2nd, Knox City, TX 79529.
