Margaret Elyabeth Kruger, longtime resident of Snyder, Texas but recently of Haskell, Texas passed away Sunday afternoon, August 3, 2014 at Garden Terrace Assisted Living in Graham, Texas. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at Willow Cemetery in Haskell with Rev. Gary Tull officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. Visitation is planned for Tuesday evening, August 5 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home located at 304 N. 2nd Street.
Margaret was born June 11, 1929, in Clayton, New Mexico to Margaret (Harrison) Garlock and Jesse Wilbur Garlock. She married Carl E. Kruger on January 2, 1949 in Sweetwater, Texas. Margaret had a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Science. Even after he retirement, Margaret continued her nursing career by working in a nursing home. She also loved to read in her spare time.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Jesse Garlock and husband, Carl E. Kruger.
Margaret is survived by daughter, Shirley Gilvary and her husband Sean; 2 sons, Jesse C. Kruger and David Kruger and his wife Angela; grandchildren; Cole Kruger and wife Lindsey, John Kruger, Jessica Kruger, and Caithia Kruger; great grandsons, Kase Kruger, Payton Kruger, and Kyler Kruger.
