She graduated from Hawthorne High School in 1943 and begin working for Pacific Bell Telephone Company in Los Angeles. There she met Albert Plutt and they soon married in Whittier, California at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on November 20,1949.

There, they remained for 35 years, raising their 3 children and delighting in many grandchildren. Prior to her final home of Haskell, Jean lived in Mesa, Arizona for 17 years.

Her family was raised on fresh vegetables grown in the garden that her and Al planted each spring and she so diligently worked in. Her flower gardens were the envy of the town and there was always a fresh bouquet on the dining room table and she loved sharing bouquets with anyone that needed that little bit of happiness. Jean was a member of St. George Catholic Church.

Jean will be terribly missed by her family and many friends, but those that knew her, know she has made it to her final destination and a place she was not fearful of.
