It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Marie Ortega Marin who departed this life peacefully on May 25, 2026, at the age of 70 beautiful years surrounded by her loving family. A beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Marie lived a life marked by love, kindness, compassion, and strength.
Marie Marin was born on March 23, 1956 in Earth, Texas. Marie was the heart of the family with an unwavering sense to help anyone in need, living her dream in her restaurant (Tex-Mex Cafe) cooking for family and friends.
Marie was well known for her cooking especially for her tamales, and her unwavering faith. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Knox City, Texas.
