Marie Russell

Marie Russell, 89, passed away Monday, January 2, 2023. A memorial graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Weinert Cemetery with Bro. Dan Bullock officiating under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes in Haskell.

Marie was born March 3, 1933 in Haskell, TX to Aileen Russell and Henry Russell. She worked for Allsup's as a manager and supervisor for 20 years. She loved going to the lake with her brother Danny who always made sure she was taken care of lovingly. She loved taking care of her potted plants and making sure the hummingbird feeders were full. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Weinert and was blessed by her Pastor, Bro. Dan Bullock.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeanie Stout of Haskell; son, R.W. Jr. Greenwood and Penny of Weinert; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Eugene Russell and wife Vee of Ft. Worth, Danny Russell of Hedley; two sisters, Maxine Heim of Arizona, Gerry Bellar of Colorado; numerous nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Nettie Russell; mother, Aileen Thornton; two brothers, Hugh and Dale Russell.
