Marvin Stiewert

Marvin Stiewert, 98, a lifelong resident of Haskell, Texas passed away, Tuesday, March 9, 2021. A private graveside service will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, March 12, 2021, at Willow Cemetery, Haskell with Rev. Terry Bunch officiating. Service is under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell.

Marvin was born October 7, 1922 in Haskell, Texas to Albert Stiewert and Lena (Klose). Growing up he attended Irby School. He married Dorothy Dean Marion Stewart on September 26, 1952 in Haskell, TX. Marvin served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a part of the artillery crew, and served in France during the Battle of the Bulge.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lena Stiewert; wife, Dorothy Dean Stiewert; 2 brothers, Alvin Edward Stiewert and Leroy August Stiewert.
