Mary Cribbs

Mary Jane Montana Cribbs entered into her eternal resting place in heaven with Jesus Christ our Savior Monday, December 7, 2020. A funeral service will be held at 2:00p.m., Thursday, December 10, 2020 at the First Baptist Church, Throckmorton with Rev. Mike McKinney officiating. Burial will follow service at Throckmorton Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Mary was born March 9, 1936 in Woodson, Texas to R.L. and Faye Montana. She was one of 9 siblings.

Mary was married to Harrell Cribbs in February 1958. They resided in Elbert, Texas.

She was an active member of First Baptist Church, Throckmorton. She enjoyed her Ladies Sunday School group and being a member of the Encouragers group on Thursday mornings.

Mary loved to fish as long as the fish were biting. She also loved to watch golf, Dallas Cowboys, game shows and Perry Mason. The most rewarding part of her life was enjoying the company of her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Tresa Cribs Hargrove and husband Larry of Throckmorton; grandchildren, Georgia Hargrove Weil and husband Casey of Stephenville; Janette Hargrove of Fort Worth; David Pensyl and wife Brady of Salado; and Steven Pensyl of Columbus, Ohio.

Great-grandchildren: Collins and Caden Weil; Sawyer and Sunny Pensyl.

Siblings: Frank Montana, J. Montana, Billie Webb, Doris Walters and Molley Mayo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, R.L. and Faye Montana; daughter, Tammy Cribbs Pensyl; son, Bodie Cribbs; siblings, Ishmael Montana, Louise Ellerd, and Lucy Montana.
