Mary Lee Felz

Mary Lee Felz, longtime resident of Throckmorton, Texas, passed away Friday, March 7, 2014 in Seymour, Texas.  Mrs. Felz was an impressive 104 years young.  A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Point Enterprise Cemetery back at her birth place of Mexia, Texas.  Arrangements were made under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes of Throckmorton.

One of five children, Mary Lee Kuyava was born February 2, 1910 to Martha (Matyshak) and Kaiser Kuyava.  Mrs. Felz loved sewing and quilting and she was a member of the Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Louise B. Felz; brother, Edward; and three sisters, Lily, Violet, and Emma.

Mary is survived by her son, Louis Felz, Jr., of San Antonio; granddaughter, Dora Tompkins of Austin; grandson, Fred Felz of Norfolk, VA; 2 great-grandchildren, Courtney and Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
