Mary Harris

Mary Alice (Sparks) Harris, 69 a resident of Throckmorton, Texas passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 at 10:00 am, visitation is at 9:15 am, til service at First Baptist Church Throckmorton, Texas 211 N. Minter Ave. with Rev. Peter Parker officiating. Burial will follow service at the Throckmorton cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Throckmorton, Texas.

Mary was born May 11, 1955 in Circleville, Ohio to James Sparks and Sara Lewis. She married Dave Harris on May 6, 1981 in Odessa, Texas.

Mary and Dave had many adventures over the years with their children John and Cathy Lukes, before settling in Throckmorton, Texas.

Mary is survived by her husband Dave Harris, son John Lukes, mother Sara Lewis, siblings Patricia Lomas, Donna Berghoff, Jimmie Sparks, Richard (Patti) Sparks, Gene (Theresa) Sparks, William Sparks, Edith (Ray) Sparks, Nathan (Connie) Sparks, Debbie Pringle, as well as her grand daughters Bridgette Smith, Brianna (Grant) Prosper, as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family members.

Mary is preceded in death by her daughter Cathy Lukes, father James Sparks and daughter in-law Jessica.
