Mary Ellen Helscel-Williams

Mary Ellen Helscel-Williams, 64, a long time Rule resident, passed away August 16, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday, August 22, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Rule, Texas, with Rev. James Jackson officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Rule Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Rule, Texas. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00PM, Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the funeral home, 600 Robins Ave., Rule, Texas.

Mary was born April 11, 1960 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Mary Ellen Helscel and Shriley Huber Helscel Sr, but she considered Broken Arrow her hometown. Mary enjoyed reading, staying active by working on projects and watching her favorite television shows. She loved working alongside her late husband Robert Williams farming, taking care of her animals and most of all, she loved her family and friends.

Mary is survived by her three sons, Gary Baker, Randy Baker, and Darryl Williams; brothers Jack Everett Helscel Sr, Sammy Lee Helscel and half brother Scott Kirtley.

She is proceeded in death by her mother, Mary Ellen Helscel; father, Shriley Huber Helscel Sr; husband, Robert Williams; three brothers Dennis Edward Helscel, Huber Helscel Jr, and James Dale Helscel.
