Mary Frances Henderson, 86, of Haskell, Texas passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Sunflower Park Nursing Home in Kaufman, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Willow Cemetery in Haskell with Rev. Dave Harrison officiating. Arrangements were made under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.
Mary Frances Rousseau was born August 24, 1927 in Haskell to Louise (Pfaff) and William Travis Rousseau. She is a 1945 Haskell High School graduate and married Frank Henderson, Sr., in July of 1948. The couple moved to Houston where Mary was a homemaker, Frank a mechanic and where they raised their son, Frank Jr. Mary Frances was a member of Doverside Baptist Church in Houston.
She had a love of antiques and antique shopping, but her true love was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She truly enjoyed spending as much time with them as she could.
Mary Frances is preceded in death by parents, Louise and Travis Rousseau; husband, Frank Henderson, Sr.; 2 sisters, Imogene Freshour and Ruby Fay Pritchard; 4 brothers, Paul Rousseau, William Rousseau, Boyd Rousseau, and Jack Rousseau.
She is survived by her son, Frank Henderson, Jr. of Dallas; sister, Evelyn Henderson of Haskell; 3 grandchildren, Angela Godwin of Austin, Mary Jedlicka of Waco, and Frank Henderson, III of Dallas; 3 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
