Mary Beth Hunt, 61, of Haskell, TX, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017, in Abilene. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2017 at the First Assembly of God Church, Haskell with Rev. J.C. Amburn officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rule Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation is planned from 6:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 19, 2017, at the funeral home, 304 N 2nd Street, Haskell, TX, 79521.
Mary Beth was born November 4, 1955 in Lubbock, to Tommie Gean (Clements) Baugh and Joe Wayne Hastey. She married William Hunt on November 27, 1981 in Haskell. She lived in Haskell for 20 years and was a LVN. Mary Beth was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. She liked to make jewelry, crafts, and spending time with her grandkids.
She is survived by her husband, William Hunt of Haskell; three daughters, Mandi Johnson of Haskell, Sara Williams and husband Noah of Haskell, and Michelle Hunt of Haskell; a son, Michael Hunt and wife Cindy of Lamesa; three granddaughters, Shayla, Saleka, and Aaliyah Hunt; four grandsons, Taylor Stephens, Blaze Johnson, Blake and Brody Hunt; a great-granddaughter, Jazareah Michelle Hunt; three brothers, Gregory Baugh, Sam and Kelly Hastey; two sisters, Kathy Baugh and Kimmy Mason; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Tommie Gean Baugh; her father, Joe Wayne Hastey; and her step-mother, Maxine Hastey.
