Mary Lou Perez Navarro

Mary Lou Perez Navarro, 69, a longtime resident of Throckmorton, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, January 18, 2021 at the Throckmorton Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A rosary is planned for 7:00 PM, Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the funeral home, 107 N. Austin, Throckmorton.

Mary was born October 8, 1951, in Robstown, TX to Amelia (Ramos) and Domingo Perez. She married Antonio Navarro, Sr., on October 14, 1971 in Throckmorton. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Throckmorton. She enjoyed cooking, and especially loved spending time with her granddaughter. Mary was very loved and always had a smile on her face.

She is survived by her husband, Antonio Navarro, Sr., of Throckmorton; 2 sons, Antonio Navarro, Jr., and Willie Navarro both of Throckmorton; granddaughter, Breanna Navarro of Throckmorton; 2 sisters, Delia Vargas, and Diana Lopez both of Cameron, TX; 4 brothers, Ruben Perez of Ingleside, TX, Ernest Perez, Robert Perez, and David Perez all of Cameron, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Domingo and Amelia Perez; daughter, Maria Rosario "Rosie" Navarro; 3 brothers, Domingo Perez, Juan Perez, and Joe Perez.
