Matilda "Tillie" Koonsman

Matilda "Tillie" (Park) Koonsman, long time resident of Throckmorton, Texas, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at her residence at the age of 75. A funeral service will be held Friday, October 9, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at the First Baptist Church in Throckmorton, Texas with Rev. Peter Parker officiating. Burial will follow immediately after the service at the Throckmorton Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. Visitation is planned for Thursday evening, October 8, 2015, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home located at 107 N Austin, Throckmorton, Texas.

Tillie was born on April 5, 1940, in Stamford, Texas, to Paris "P.D." Doyle Park, Sr., and Ruth Marie (Lee) Park. She married Billy Edd Koonsman on May 30, 1959. She was a graduate from Sweetwater High School and a Child Care Provider for more than 30 years. She loved watching her grandchildren in what ever they were involved in.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Throckmorton, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Edd Koonsman; parents, Paris "P.D." Doyle Park, Sr. and Ruth Marie (Lee) Park; two sisters, Pat Prewit and Jean Palmer; and four brothers, Paris Park, Jr., Donald Park, Dan Park, and TA Park.

Tillie is survived by her two sons, Randy Koonsman and wife Teresa and Ken Koonsman and wife Kellie both of Throckmorton, Texas; daughter, Konnie Kuehler and husband Bryan of Munday, Texas; grandchildren, Austin, Taylor, and Sydney Koonsman, Halie Oliver and husband Tyler, Emilie, Madison, and William Koonsman all of Throckmorton, Texas, Kari Renfroe and husband Aaron of Ozona, Texas, Kristen Kuehler of Munday, Texas, and Cody Kuehler of Sweetwater, Texas; great-grandchildren, Casen Bryan Kuelher of Sweetwater, Texas, and Wyatt Tate Renfroe of Ozona, Texas; two brothers, Billy "Slats" Park of Roby, Texas and Charles Park and wife Dorothy of Spencer, West Virginia; four sisters, Ann Gray and husband B.W. of Stephenville, Texas, Rebecca Cooper and husband Gene of Crystal City, Missouri, Mary Jo Pope of Roby, Texas, and Betty Koonce of Ausin, Texas; and numerous nieces, and nephews.
