During this time she played the piano, organ, violin, and clarinet in the High School Band and orchestra. In the fall after her graduation, she attended Texas State College for Women in Denton, Texas majoring in Business Administration. She married the love of her life, Roy Dee Wiseman, on November 17, 1939. They made their home on a farm west of Haskell.
