Mellissa Ann Casillas

Mellissa Ann Casillas, 39, of Knox City, TX, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at the Abundant Life Church, Knox City. Burial will follow the service at O'Brien Cemetery in O'Brien under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation is planned from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, October 30, 2016, at the funeral home, 210 N Ave. A, Knox City, TX 79529.

Mellissa was born February 7, 1977 in Haskell to Martha (Watson) and Charles Casillas. She was a member of Abundant Life Church. She loved arts and crafts, setting up the church before fellowship, and decorating of any kind. She loved her Church.

She is survived by parents; two daughters, Alyssa Casillas of Knox City and Rebecca Baldwin of Munday; fiancé, Thomas Richmond Rogers of Knox City; grandmother, Nettie Mae Watson of O'Brien; sister, Crystal Casillas of Knox City; two brothers, Jeff Casillas of Knox City and Jeremy Casillas of Knox City; grandson, Matthew Tarin of Munday; granddaughter, Jaz'Marie Baldwin of Munday; three nephews and two nieces.

She is preceded in death by two sons, Zachary Casillas and River Rogers.
