Milton "Rick" Pohle

Milton "Rick" Pohle, 78, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2024. A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 2:00pm, at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene, Texas. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell.

Milton was born December 1, 1945 in New Lisbon, Wisconsin to Mary (Brodtkorb) and Milton Pohle. After high school he joined the Air Force where he was a C130 Loadmaster for 20 years. During those 20 years he attained the rank of Master Sergeant, was able to visit over 80 countries, and he earned six Air Medals for special actions. He married Dee (Robson) on March 26, 2010, in Abilene, Texas.

He had a healthy sense of humor, he enjoyed golfing, was a Green Bay Packer Fanatic. He loved his dog Buddy.

He is survived by his wife, Dee Pohle of Abilene, Texas; three daughters, Teresa Smith and husband Randy of Clyde, Texas, Mary Lopez and husband Troy of Abilene, Texas, Samantha Pohle; two sons, Robert Pohle and wife Shelley of San Antonio, Texas, Richard Pohle and wife Tyann of Abilene, Texas; numerous grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; brother, Ronald "Muddy" Pohle of Vista, California; sister, Tammy Miller of Wisconsin.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Milton Pohle; three sisters, Janice Schoff, Rachel Bierle, and Nancy Hage.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Milton's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
