Monte Max Bradley, 79, a longtime resident of Knox City, TX, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017, in Lubbock. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 2, 2017, at the Abundant Life Church, Knox City with Rev. Tex Cox, and Rev. Derrell Marion officiating. Burial will follow services at the Knox City Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at the funeral Home, 210 Ave. A, Knox City.
Monte was born March 16, 1937, in Plains to Jerry (Smith) and Guy Bradley. He married Sandra Stubblefield on April 8, 1966, in Munday, TX. Monte served in the United States Army. He served as an elder at Abundant Life Church. He was an avid woodworker, but his family was always his main hobby.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Bradley of Knox City; his son, Dustin Max Bradley and wife Julie of Knox City; two grandsons, Brandon Max Bradley and wife Devon of Lubbock, and Blayne Lynn Bradley of Denton; great-grandson, Wyatt Max Bradley of Lubbock; and numerous nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jerry and Guy Bradley.
