Myrtle Louise Hunt, 103, a long time resident of Rule, TX, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018. A funeral service will be held at 2:00p.m., Monday, February 26, 2018 at the First Baptist Church, Rule with Rev. Scott Hensley officiating. Burial will follow services at the Rule Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Rule. A visitation is planned from 5:00-6:00p.m., Sunday, February 25, 2018 at the funeral home, 600 Robins Ave., Rule, TX.
Myrtle was born July 31, 1914 in the Judd Community, to Amanda (Florence) and Robert Taylor Hunt. She owned and operated Myrtle's Beauty Shop in Rule for 50 years. She was the last surviving sibling out of 13. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rule.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews, and other family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Amanda (Florence) Hunt; father, Robert Taylor Hunt; and 12 brothers, and sisters.
