Nancy C. Duncan

Nancy C. Duncan, 76, a longtime resident of Knox City, Texas, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 2, 2023, at the Knox City Cemetery with Rev. Marq Brockett officiating, under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Knox City. A visitation is planned from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 1, 2023, at the funeral home, 210 Ave. A, Knox City, Texas.

Nancy was born January 17, 1947 in Comanche, Oklahoma to Bessie (Ponder) and George Molloy. She married Bill Duncan in 1992 in Knox City, Texas. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in O'Brien, Texas. She enjoyed taking care of her home, her cats and dogs.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Duncan of Knox City, Texas; two sons, Kevin Hoeckendorf of Vine Grove, Kentucky, Sean Duncan of Abilene, Texas; sister, Patsy Orr of Knox City, Texas; niece, Caroline Orr Brockett of Knox City, Texas; four grandchildren, Hillary Murn of Radcliff, Kentucky, Sarah Cooper of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Scott Hoeckendorf of El Paso, Texas, Eric Hoeckendorf of Okinawa, Japan; and 8 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bessie and George Molloy.
