Nathan Pierce, 45, a long time resident of Haskell, TX, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018. A graveside service will be held at 2:00p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Willow Cemetery, Haskell with Rev. Tex Cox officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00p.m., Monday, January 29, 2018, at the funeral home 304 N 2nd St., Haskell, TX.
Nathan was born April 4, 1972 in Big Spring, to Sharron (Morrison) and Charles Relmond Pierce. In 2006 he married Maria Gonzales in Haskell. He went to school and played sports in Knox City before moving to Haskell. Nathan liked fishing and hunting, but working was always his passion.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Pierce of Haskell; two daughters, Lacey Pierce of Knox City, and Cassie Pierce of Haskell; son, James Pierce of Haskell; two stepsons, Kiefer McNelly of Haskell, and Drew Barnard of Waxahachie; grandson, Calen Lewis of Knox City; mother, Sharron (Morrison) Hudson and husband Danny of Benjamin; two sisters, Missy Lewis and husband Todd of Haskell, and Michelle Standfield and husband Jeff of Knox City; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Relmond Pierce.
