Nettie Mae Watson, 91, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend was called home to Heaven on Monday, January 31, 2022. Her celebration of life will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 7, 2022, at Knox City Foursquare Church. Burial will be at the Rule Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday morning from 10:00-11:30 at Smith Family Funeral Home, Knox City.
Nettie Mae was born August 10, 1930, in Evant County to Wiley George & Aurora Bell Langley. She married Thomas Paul (TP) Watson. Above all, Nettie Mae loved her family time. Having her family gather at her home while she cooked her special recipes, was something she treasured. Nettie cooked at Whispering Oaks church camp in Buffalo Gap for many years, touching many lives. She was a true child of God, who made sure to share the word with everyone.
Left to cherish her memories are sons, Tom Watson & Jenine of Midland, Arly Watson & Cynthia of Springtown, Terry Watson & Becky of Abilene; Daughters, Cathy Watson of O'Brien, Martha Casillas & Charles of Graham; Grandchildren, Ricky Watson, Ray Gaston, Doug Gaston, Misty Rocha, Aaron Watson, Tracy Espinosa, Al Rios, Cary Watson, Brianna Broadus, Jeffrey Casillas, Jeremy Casillas, Crystal Casillas, Kyle Watson & Chandra Watson, Trey Watson, Alan Watson & Stephanie Watson; and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, TP Watson; sons, Randy Watson, Tim Watson; daughters, Teresa Rios, Phyllis Gaston; grandson, Paul Gaston; granddaughter, Mellisa Casillas; great granddaughter, Alyssa Casillas.
Pallbearers will be, Ricky Watson, Aaron Watson, Al Rios, Cary Watson, Jeffrey Casillas, Alan Watson & Trey Watson.
