Orheana Greeson, 88, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and Christian,and Sunday school teacher, peacefully passed away on July 16, 2025. Born on February 5, 1937, in Fort Worth, to Ina Mae Jones and William Leon Jones. Orheana's unwavering faith guided her life of service for her family, church and community.
Orheana met John Lee Greeson at Abilene Christian College and married on August 31, 1956. Their life of ministry led them to the Rule Church of Christ in October, 1965. Together they raised three children, six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and countless other children they called their own. She spent many years of service teaching Sunday School, QMCC, baking cinnamon bread, Philadelphian Club president, Chamber secretary and serving on numerous committees in Rule. She lived by the scripture in Hebrews 13 to show hospitality to strangers because you may be entertaining angels unaware.
Orheana is survived by her three children, Vicki Porter-Hoffman, Leon Greeson and wife Jennifer, Leigh Ann Greeson, her grandchildren Shiela, CW, Paige, Dave, Lacey, Abi, her great-grandchildren and her sister Troyanna Smith. She is preceeded in death by her husband of 58 years, John Greeson, her son-in-law Donald Hoffman, her parents, her brothers Leroy, Malcolm, Ronald and their wives, and her brother-in-law Tom.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, at 11:00am, July 19th, 2025, at the Rule Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Homes, Rule,Texas. A visitation is planned from 6:00 to 7:00pm, Friday, July 18, 2025, at the funeral home, 600 Robins Ave., Rule Texas.
