Pam Nixon

Jun 12, 1964 — Jul 6, 2026

Pamela Kay Nixon, lovingly known to many as “DustBunny,” passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 6, 2026, at the age of 62. She was born on June 12, 1964, in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Pamela spent much of her life working as a waitress and house cleaner, where her hardworking spirit and attention to detail earned her the affectionate nickname “DustBunny.” While she took great pride in every job she held, the role she cherished most was simply being Nanny. There was nothing in this world she loved more than her family, especially her grandchildren.

Pam never met a stranger. Whether you had known her for years or had just met her, you could always expect to be greeted with a warm smile, an open heart, and a hug that made you feel like family. She loved deeply and wholeheartedly, never hesitating to show those around her just how much they meant to her. She found joy in all things purple, loved a little sparkle and extravagance, and embraced every opportunity to celebrate life. Her laughter, kindness, and generous spirit will forever be remembered by everyone blessed enough to know her.

She is survived by her mother, Judy Kemp of Throckmorton, Texas; Father; Leonard Nixon of Wichita Falls, Tx. her sisters, Tami and husband Roy of Lake Arrowhead, Texas, and Mary of Big Spring, Texas; her daughter, Renee Ash and husband Thomas of Throckmorton, Texas; her sons, Stephen Nixon of Woodson, Texas, and Jonathan Cook of Anson, Texas; and the greatest love of her life, David Martin.

The greatest joy of Pam life was being a Nanny to her beloved grandchildren: Peyton Woods and wife Kylee of Archer City, Texas; Saige Woods and fiancé Michael of Throckmorton, Texas; Tristan Nixon and Kye Nixon, both of Corpus Christi, Texas; Lacy Cook, Colton Cook, and Gunner Cook, all of Anson, Texas; and Kylie Woods and Kaylee Woods, both of Throckmorton, Texas. She was also blessed with one precious great-grandson, Kylen Woods (2) of Throckmorton, Texas, who brought endless happiness to her heart.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mildred Snyder; her sister, Kathy Lisle; and her stepfather, Richard Kemp.

Pam legacy is one of unconditional love, kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family and community. She leaves behind countless memories, warm embraces, and a reminder to love people boldly and live life to its fullest. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that her love will continue to live on through every life she touched.

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9
