Patsy (Counts) Grimsley, "Granny Pat", passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Abilene Regional Medical Center at the age of 80. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 3, 2015 at Church of Christ, Rule,Texas. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Weinert Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. Visitation is planned for Sunday evening, August 2, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home located at 210 Ave A., Knox City.

Patsy was born August 2, 1934, in Munday, Texas, to Walter and Alma (Johnston) Counts. Pat attended Rule Schools. On February 9,1951, she married Bill Grimsley, in Merkel,Texas. Bill and Pat moved to Knox City were they raised their family. "Granny Pat" loved her job working with special-needs children in the Knox City-O'Brien School district. Her greatest joy was taking care of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a great seamstress. She enjoyed cooking, and attending any events her grandchildren participated in. She always took lots of pictures.

She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Alma Counts and her husband Bill Grimsley.

Pasty is survived by her children, Walta Grimsley of Knox City, Texas, Jamie Phillps and husband David of Graham, Texas, Shelly Cox of Rochester, Texas, Rusty Grimsley and wife Jan of Knox City, and Jerri Buerger and husband Fritz of Haskell, Texas; brother, David Counts and wife Mary of Knox City; sister, Cheryl and husband Bobby Robinson of Rule, Texas.
