Paul Davis Wolf

Paul D. Wolf, 77, passed away August 10, 2015, at Hospice of Wichita Falls. He was born in Electra, Texas, to Leo and Rosie (Borton) Wolf on February 22, 1938. He was a resident of Throckmorton, TX. Paul served in the US Army, worked as a rancher for many years and retired from the Texas Department of Transportation. He married Glorene Carter on September 14, 1963, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Glorene preceded him in death in December of 2010.
Funeral services for Paul will be Thursday, August 13, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at the Christian Center in Throckmorton, Texas, with the Rev. Darrell Marion officiating. Burial will take place immediately following the services at Throckmorton Cemetery. Family visitation will be Wednesday, August 12, 2015, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Smith Family Funeral Home in Throckmorton, Texas.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Jimmy Wolf, Johnny Wolf and Clarence Wolf, and loving wife, Glorene.
He is survived by sisters, Leola Elliott of Wichita Falls and Martha Norseworthy of Iowa Park. Brothers, Billy and wife Gloria of Canyon City, Colorado, and Jerry and wife Carol of Austin, Texas. Other survivors include 18 nieces and nephews, 32 grand nieces and nephews and 33 great grand nieces and nephews, two sister-in-laws Barbara Wolf and Mary Lou Wolf of Wichita Falls. Paul was a generous, kind soul, an always-helpful neighbor, and an extraordinary husband and caregiver. He was loved and cherished by all.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Beale, Brad Beale, Dick Elliott, Jack McWhorter, Bob McWhorter, and Royce McWhorter.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Christian Center, the Throckmorton Senior Citizens' Center, or a charity of your of choice. All arrangements are under the care and direction of Smith Family Funeral Home of Throckmorton.
