Pauline Pineda, 84, longtime resident of Knox City, Texas passed away Monday, June 27, 2016 at the Seymour Healthcare and Rehab. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 1, 2016 at the Santa Rosa Catholic Church in Knox City, Texas with Father John Perikomabyil officiating. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Knox City Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home. A Rosary is planned for Thursday, June 30, at 7:00 p.m. at the Santa Rosa Catholic Church in Knox City, Texas.
Pauline was born June 1, 1932, in Benjamin, Texas to Thomas Everett and Paula (Hernandez) Everett. She was a member of the Santa Rosa Catholic Church of Knox City, Texas, Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Seymour, Texas and the Catholic Church of men and womens Club. She enjoyed spending time with family, and loved her novela's (soap operas), western shows, gardening, cooking, and working food pantry for her church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Everett and Paula (Hernandez) Everett; first husband, Edmund Casillas, Sr., and 2nd husband, Jack Pineda; two sons, George Manuel Casillas and Ray Casillas; brother, Pete Everett; and sister, Gloria Ramirez.
Pauline is survived by her daughters, Maggie Saucedo and husband David of Corpus Christi, Texas, Gloria Vasquez of Waco, Texas, Nita Casillas of San Antonio, Texas, Phyllis Molina of Seymour, Texas, Maxine Hasten and husband Marty of Dean, Texas, and Janie Perkins and husband Frances of Seymour, Texas; sons, Edmund Casillas and wife Yolanda of Knox City, Texas, Gilbert Casillas and wife Diana of Knox City, Texas, and Tony Casillas and wife Jeanette of San Antonio, Texas; 28 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; brothers, Tommy Everett, David Everett, Edward Everett; and sisters, Marylou Garcia, Betty Harris, and Susan Chavez.
