Phylecia Bailey

Phylecia Bailey, 91, a longtime resident of Haskell, Texas, passed away on December 8, 2020. A funeral service will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Cornerstone Fellowship Baptist Church, Haskell with Rev. Josh Fitchett officiating. Burial will follow service under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00PM, Friday, December 11, 2020 at the funeral home, 304 N. 2nd St., Haskell.

Phylecia was born October 5, 1929 in Jones Co., Texas to Elsie (Koenig) and R.R. Debusk. She married Carl Bailey in Anson, TX on December 25, 1947. She worked as a farmer's wife, homemaker, and devoted member of her church homes. She played the organ for First Baptist Church and Cornerstone Fellowship Baptist Church for more than 5 decades. She loved playing volleyball and dominoes. Phylecia was a former Woman of the Year in the Home Demonstration Club.

She is survived by her daughter, Lana Parker of Abilene; son, Mark Bailey and wife Gayle of Hawley; grandchildren, Lawson and Rachel Bailey of Hawley, Katie of Ft. Worth, Andrew Parker and wife Vanessia of Crowley; great-grandchildren, Dion Clark, Jr., Daisy Clark, and Violet Parker; sister, Nettie Lee of Anson; brother, Bill Debusk of Abilene; numerous other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, R.R. Debusk; mother, Elsie Debusk; husband, Carl Bailey; son, Ronnie Lane Bailey.

Memorials may be made in Phylecia's name to the Cornerstone Fellowship Baptist Church, Haskell.
