Preston Harlan Weinert
October 9, 1924 — July 19, 2014
PRESTON HARLAN WEINERT, passed away in Houston, Texas on Saturday, July 19, 2014, at the age of 89. Harlan grew up in Weinert, Texas, attended Tarlton State University, and served in the Army in World War II. Returning home after the war, he was a successful farmer for most of his life.
Harlan was preceded in death by his parents, Preston Ferdinand and Margaret Marr Weinert; wife, Jimmie Lou Weinert; and sister, Nadine Weinert Denton.
He is survived by his sister, Joella Weinert Perkins; and numerous other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 24, at First United Methodist Church of Haskell, Texas, with interment immediately following at Willow Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Haskell, Texas, or a charity of your choice.
