Richard Espinoza, 38, of Knox City, TX, passed away Sunday, surrounded by his loved ones December 19, 2021. He was born to Robert Q. and Santos Espinoza on May 27, 1983 in Haskell, TX. A funeral service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rhineland, TX, Wednesday at 10:00AM with Father Francis Chinthamalla officiating. Burial will follow at the Knox City Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A rosary is planned for Tuesday December 21, 2021, at 7:00PM at the funeral home, 210 Ave. A Knox City, TX.
Richard enjoyed working on his classic 1979 Cutlass Supreme. He graduated from Knox City High School in 2002. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and his amazing family.
He is survived by his loving parents, Robert and Santos Espinoza of Knox City; brothers, Robert Espinoza Jr. and wife Tracy of Abilene, Tx, Ruben and wife Robin Espinosa of Saginaw, TX, Randy and wife Sherri of Knox City, TX; four nieces, Larissa Espinoza (Lexy) of Abilene, TX, Ale Espinoza (Emmanuel) Pampa, TX, Madison and Bailey Espinoza of Knox City, TX; three nephews, Coleton Espinoza (Allie) of Abilene, TX, Thomas Espinoza of Saginaw, TX, and Keagan Espinoza of Knox City, TX; three great nieces, Zariah and Amara Aguilar of Pampa, TX, and Emery Espinoza of Abilene, TX; three great nephews Elijah Aguliar of Tampa, TX, Eli Espinoza of Abilene, TX, and John Tamboer of Abilene, TX; and numerous cousins.
He is preceded by his grandparents, Manuel and Celia Espinoza, and Ruperto and Guadalupe Herrera.
