Robert "Bob" Clark Neely

Robert "Bob" Clark Neely, 78, a lifelong resident of Throckmorton, TX, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018. A funeral service will be held at 2:00p.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at First United Methodist Church, Throckmorton with Rev. Jim Wright and Rev. Jay Gage officiating. Burial will follow services at the Throckmorton Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Throckmorton. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00p.m., Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at the funeral home, 107 N Austin St., Throckmorton, TX.

Robert was born April 15, 1940 in Paris, TX, to Dorothy (Wilkinson) and Henry S. Neely. Robert was an avid reader of science fiction. He loved playing golf and poker.

He is survived by his wife, Doniece Neely of Throckmorton; two sons, Robert Neely of Throckmorton, and Marcus Neely of Van Alstyne, TX; two granddaughters, Whitney Ray of Oklahoma City, and Nicole Neely of Irving; and two grandsons, Robert Cooper Neely of San Fransisco, and William Neely of Stillwater, OK.

He is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy (Wilkinson) Neely; and father, Henry S. Neely.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be given in Robert's name to Throckmorton Ex-Student Assoc., and Rathgeber Hospitality House: 161512th St., Wichita Falls, TX 76301.
