Robert Darrell Strickland

Robert Darrell Strickland, life-long resident of Rochester, Texas, passed away Wednesday evening, August 12, 2015, at Knox County Hospital in Knox City, Texas at the age of 68. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Church of Christ in Rochester, Texas. Visitation is planned for Friday evening, August 14, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Rochester located at 200 South Lincoln Avenue.

Robert was born May 15, 1947, to William Ira Strickland and Dorothy Lane Amonett in Grapevine, Texas. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Rochester. Robert loved horses and watching his grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Ira Strickland and Dorothy Lane Strickland and one brother, Willis Jay Strickland.

Robert is survived by his kids, Robert Darrell Strickland, Jr., Robin Strickland and Dorothy Foley; grandkids, Nathan Moya, Tori Garcia, Jaxon Foley, Abbey Abila, Avery Abila, Chasity Tolson and Lacey Pierce; great-grandkid, Paisley Vogler; siblings, Lonnetta Farrar, Teresa Yates and husband Robert, Cliff Strickland, and Willie Strickland and wife Beverly; and several nieces and nephews.
