Roger Dale Duniven

March 2, 1956 — July 8, 2012

Roger Dale Duniven, 56, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2012 at his home in Haskell. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 13, 2012 in Stamford at the MacKenzie Trail Cowboy Church with Will Duniven officiating. Arrangements were made under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home of Haskell.

Roger was born in Pampa, Texas on March 2, 1956 to William Roger and Loretta Lois (Phillips) Duniven. He married Phyllis Maureen Green in Midland on March 15, 1974. They have been Haskell residents since 1985 and Roger was a surveyor for 20 years and later he was maintenance supervisor at Brazos Valley Nursing Home. He was a member of B.P.O.E., and the Chevy Classic Club.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Loretta Duniven; 2 brothers, Richard Lawrence Duniven and Danny Eugene Duniven; his great-grandson, Gunner Blake Edwards; 2 uncles, Royce Darwin Phillips and Richard Brian Duniven; and his aunt, Evelyn Joyce Murphy.

Roger is survived by his wife, Maureen Duniven; 2 sons, William Tosh Duniven and wife Lynnann of Sweetwater, Arron Wayne Duniven and wife Brandi of Snyder; 2 daughters, Wendy Dawn Taylor and husband Greg, Jr. of Haskell, Kasey Jeanette Delmasso and husband Cody of Haskell; 11 grandchildren, Ruger, Easton, Kellie, Katey, Ethan, Kash, Cathryn, Emalee, Brylie, Kamryn, and Kylee; brother, Bill Duniven and wife Pam of Loving, New Mexico; and 1 sister, Kathy Brumitt and husband Kenny of Midland.

Memorials can be given in Roger's memory to MacKenzie Trail Youth Camp Fund, P.O. Box 267, Stamford, Texas 79553 or to Cook's Childrens Hospital, 801 7th Avenue, Ft. Worth, Texas 76104.
