Ronnie Wayne Baccus

Ronnie Wayne Baccus, 66, formally of Haskell, Texas, but most recently of Abilene, Texas passed away Monday afternoon, April 15, 2013 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 20, 2013 with Rev. Joe Walton officiating. Arrangements were made under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.
Ronnie was born March 17, 1947 in Haskell to W.H. and Alma Jean (Faught) Baccus. He married Pat O'Keefe at Trinity Baptist Church on June 12, 1969 and the two remained in Haskell until 1972 when they moved to Abilene. Ronnie was in heavy equipment sales and service for Caterpillar, Inc. for 31 years. He later worked for Latson Parts and Equipment. In his leisure time, Ronnie enjoyed fishing. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, W.H. and Alma Jean Baccus; brother, Bill Baccus; 2 sisters, Linda Cupps, and Mary Jean Baccus; and 1 uncle, Richard Baccus.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 43 years, Pat of the home; daughter, April Walton and husband Daniel of Merkel, Texas; 2 grandsons, Joshua and Zackary Willis of Merkel; 2 granddaughters, Geneva Boden and Veronica Green of Abilene; 2 uncles, Clinton Baccus of Mansfield, Texas and Kenneth Baccus of Nocona, Texas.
