Ronnie Lane Bailey

Ronnie Lane Bailey longtime resident of Haskell, Texas passed away Thursday evening, February 20 2014 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas. Ronnie was 51. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Cornerstone Fellowship Baptist Church in Haskell with Rev. Morris Johnson officiating. Interment will take place immediately following the services at Willow Cemetery in Haskell under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. Visitation is planned for Saturday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home located at 304 N. 2nd Street.

Ronnie was born on February 25, 1962 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Phylecia (DeBusk) and Carl Bailey. He is a 1981 graduate of Haskell High School and attended Vision Bible College in Abilene. Ronnie treasured his nieces and nephews and visiting on the telephone with friends. A big Dallas Cowboy fan, Ronnie loved staying in touch with the happenings of Haskell by listening to the police scanner. Years ago, Ronnie had a group of ladies he would meet at the Dairy Queen to discuss and solve all the worldly problems. He was a member of Love & Care Ministries of Abilene. Ronnie will be missed by so many.

He is preceded in death by his father, Carl Bailey.

Ronnie leaves behind his mother, Phylecia Bailey of Haskell; sister, Lana Parker of Abilene; brother, Mark Bailey and wife Gayle of Hawley; nieces and nephews, Lawson and Rachel Bailey of Hawley, Katie Parker and Andrew Parker of Ft. Worth; and his great-nephew, Dion Clark, Jr. of Ft. Worth; as well as numerous relatives and dear friends.

Serving as pallbearers for Ronnie are Kip Nemir, James Culpepper, Gary Thomas, Andrew Parker, Rusty Schonderstedt, Lawson Bailey, Micah Thomas, Danny Edmond, and Travis Jones.
