Rosa P. Alvarez

Rosa P. Alvarez, 95, passed away Friday, May 15, 2020. A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM, Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Willow Cemetery, Haskell with Rev. Domingo Ozuna officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell.

Rosa was born September 4, 1924 in Nixon, TX, to Severa (Muñoz) and Fortunato Peralez. She was a long time Haskell resident with a heart of gold. She enjoyed serving the Lord in any way she could. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She loved to spend her days reading her bible, cooking, sewing, quilting, and watching her telenovelas. The most important thing to Rosa was her family for whom she loved more than anything.

She is survived by her 5 sons, Guadalupe Alvarez, Alberto Alvarez, Mario Alvarez, Alvino Alvarez, and Roy Alvarez; daughter, Rosa Alvarez; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Fortunato and Severa Peralez; her husband Guadalupe Alvarez; sons, Ray Alvarez, John Alvarez, and Mario Alvarez; sister Eva Moreno; and brother Jose Peralez.
