Rose Marie "Jimmie" Klutts, 84, a longtime resident of Knox City, TX, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021. A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, January 29, 2021 with Rev. Wayne Kirk officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00PM, Thursday, January 28, 2021 at the funeral home, 210 Avenue A., Knox City, TX.
Rose was born February 3, 1936, in Westminster, TX to Geneva Opal (Bell) and James Franklin McLain. She married James Benjamin Klutts on June 20, 1975 in Durant, OK and they enjoyed 45 years of marriage. She was a member of the Foursquare Church, Knox City. Rose loved working at the SNAP Center in Benjamin, and enjoyed crocheting and quilting.
She is survived by her son, Joe Klutts and wife Brenda; two daughters, Lois Keith, Barbara Gene Klutts; sister, Rachel Cohea; brother, Johnny McLain; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Geneva McLain; husband, James Klutts; 4 sisters, Oleta Belknap, Joyce McLain, Geneva Cartright, Jean Galloway; 2 brothers, Jack McLain and Tommy McLain.
Memorials may be made in Rose's name to the Foursquare Church of Knox City, or Gideons Bible Distribution.
