Samuel Richard "Ricky" Long

Samuel Richard "Ricky" Long, 62, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2024. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, December 15, 2024, at the Weinert Cemetery, under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell, Texas.

Samuel was born November 16, 1962 in Andrews, Texas to Shelia (Schoonover) Long King and Samuel Richard Long, II. He loved his kids, grandkids, and family. He loved to fish and watch westerns. He was a huge history buff.

He is survived by his son, David Allen Long and wife Justice of Snyder, Texas; two daughters, Natasha Long and boyfriend Fernando of Philadelphia, Amy Long of Odessa, Texas; mother, Shelia Long King and husband Bobby of Lake Stamford; father, Samuel Richard Long, II of Graham, Texas; three sisters, Denise Bullock and husband Sam of Graham, Texas, Deana Lewis and husband Terry of Clyde, Texas, Cassie Lee Long of New Jersey; special uncle, Larry Long of Woodson, Texas; seven grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Long; three brothers, Johnny Harold Long, Robert Charles Long and Michael Dean (Rojo) Long.
