Sena Christene Simmons

Sena Christene Simmons, 93, passed away on October 16, 2016, in Marble Falls, Texas. Her parents were Arthur and Nellie Hargrove. She was born at Olney, Texas, on November 10, 1922. She moved to Goree, Texas, from Elbert, Texas, in 1929. She moved to Wichita Falls, Texas, and started working at Sheppard Air Force base in 1954, retiring in 1984 after 27 years. She married Jack B. Moore on June 12, 1954. They had one daughter, Linda Carole, born in 1956. Later she married Roy Simmons. In recent years she lived with her sister, first in Bula, Texas, and then in Marble Falls, Texas.
Mrs. Simmons is survived by her twin sister, Irene Teaff, of Marble Falls, Texas; granddaughter, Kristy Elliot, of Wichita Falls, Texas; three grandsons and two step-daughters. She was preceded in death by husbands Jack Moore and Roy Simmons; a daughter, Linda Elliott; a grandson, Jackie Elliott; and eight siblings.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 2:00 at Knox City Cemetery, arrangements by Smith Family Funeral Homes
