Sergio Marin, 57, of Midland, TX, passed away October 14, 2021, in Abilene. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, October 20, at the First Baptist Church, Knox City, with Rev. David Carbajal officiating under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation is planned for Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from 6-8:00PM, at the funeral home, 210 Ave A, Knox City, TX.

Sergio was born, January 28, 1964, in Mexico to Maria (Rodriguez) and Jose Marin. He was an Oil Field Consultant and loved playing poker and other card games. He enjoyed spending time with his family and making sure they were taken care of.

He is survived by his wife, Gricelda Gallegos of Munday; daughter, Breanna Hunter of Anson; son, Ricco Marin of Midland; mother, Maria Marin of Knox City; two brothers, Vicente Marin of Rule and Victor Marin of San Marcus; sister, Estella Servin of Knox City; two grandsons, Kyler and Castin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Marin; brother, Joe Marin; and sister, Mary Goins.
