Shyam Vinjamuri

Shyam Vinjamuri, 68, passed away in Knox City, Monday, October 9, 2023. A visitation is planned for Wednesday, October 11, 2023, from 4:00 to 6:00PM at the Smith Family Funeral Homes, 304 N 2nd Street, Haskell, Texas.

Shyam was born October 15, 1954, in Vijayawada, India, to Vimala (Tirumala) and Varadaraja Vinjamuri. Shyam was a very successful business man, very kind, huge lover of nature and a out of the box thinker. He was very generous to those around him. He moved to Knox City in 2018 to enjoy a slower retired life. He loved the small community of Knox City and its calmness. He had big dreams for Knox City, he wanted to see a McDonalds here and sports stadium. He was proud to support the city and the school. He had a beautiful garden and kept his home immaculate. His home was like a museum, he was meticulous with his belongings.

He is survived by his daughter, Anita Vinjamuri; son, Anand Vinjamuri; son-in-law, Marques Guillory; 1 brother; 6 sisters; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Vimala and Varadaraja Vinjamuir.
