Stanley Ralph Martin, 62, of Haskell passed away Saturday evening, August 25, 2012 at Haskell Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Haskell with Rev. Art Flores, Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Willow Cemetery. A visitation is planned for Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Arrangements were made under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.
Stanley was born on March 7, 1950 in Stamford to Joe and Ruby (Muse) Martin. He married Betty Ozuna on October 2, 1993 in Haskell. Stanley and Betty remained in Haskell where Stanley served as a Deacon at Calvary Baptist Church and he enjoyed doing all kinds of odd jobs. Mr. Martin was Supervisor over the janitorial department at Haskell Memorial Hospital.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ruby Martin; a son, Kevin Glenn Martin; and 2 brothers, Randy Martin and Ricky Martin.
Stanley is survived by his wife Betty of Haskell; 3 daughters, Lorie Martinez and husband Marty of Lacy, WA, Sylvia Mullen and husband Eric of Halton City, TX, Melanie Alvarez of Grand Prairie, TX; 2 sons, Joseph Martin of Haskell, Bert Alvarez and wife Julie of Haskell; 14 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Serving as pallbearers for Stanley are L.C. Johnson, Jr., Randy Shaw, Louis Enriquez, Kyle Martin, Matt Muncell, and Randall Martin.
