Stephen O'Neil Sheedy

Stephen O'Neil Sheedy, 60, a longtime resident of Knox City, Texas, passed away, Tuesday, December 1, 2020. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on December 5, 2020 at the Foursquare Church, Knox City with Rev. Gary Schnable officiating. Burial will follow service at Benjamin Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00p.m., Friday, December 4, 2020 at the funeral home, 210 Ave A., Knox City.

Stephen was born April 22, 1960 in Big Spring, Texas to Virginia (Turner) and Jackie Sheedy. He married Cassandra Herron on August 14, 2007 in Benjamin, TX. He worked as a Farm Manager with the Spike Box Ranch for 15 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Stephen especially loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Cassandra Sheedy of Knox City; father, Jackie Sheedy of Knox City; 3 sons, Heston Perry of Sulphur Springs, Nick Lewis and wife Amanda of Arlington, Terrell O'Neil Sheedy and wife Payton of Mt. Pleasant; 2 daughters, Shellbi Perry and fiancé Cody Wright of Garland, Katie Rae Sheedy of Mt. Pleasant; many grandsons and granddaughters; brother, Mike Sheedy and wife Kay of Knox City; sister, Mitsy Welch and husband Shane of Knox City; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Sheedy.
