Steve Michaels

Steve Michaels, 60, a longtime resident of Haskell, TX, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020. A graveside service will be held at 2:00p.m., Friday, October 23, 2020 at the Rochester Cemetery with Rev. Randy Hollingsworth officiating. Service are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Rochester. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the funeral home, 200 S. Lincoln Ave., Rochester.

Steve Michaels was born July 14, 1960, to Barbara (O'Neill) and Tommy Michaels. He lived in Haskell before moving to Woodson. Steve loved to fish, watch baseball, work in the oilfield and spend time with his family.

He is survived by his son, Kyle Michaels and wife Kate of Creede, CO; daughter, Melanie Michaels-Lowrance and South Fork, CO; mother, Barbara Michaels of Mineral Wells; father, Tommy Michaels of Mineral Wells; 3 granddaughters, Ruby Michaels, Ella Michaels, and Ada Michaels all of Creede, CO; two brothers, John Michaels of Woodson, Tim Michaels of Mineral Wells; and sister, Cindy Frazier of Rochester, Minnesota.
