Sue Conner

Sue Conner, 87, longtime resident of Haskell, Texas, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell. Rev. Wayne Ammons will be officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Willow Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell.

Sue was born October 12, 1936 in Haskell, Texas to Roxie (Reed) and Gilbert Ammons. She loved listening to gospel music, playing the piano and organ. She enjoyed visiting rest homes, and traveling with her family. She was a member of the First Assembly Of God Church in Haskell.

She is survived by her brother, Wayne Ammons and wife Jeraldine of Lubbock, Texas and sister Tula Ammons Whitney of Rodgers, Arizona.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roxie and Gilbert Ammons; and brother, Edward Ammons.
