Susie Viola Wright

Susie Wright, longtime resident of Haskell, Texas passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Haskell Memorial Hospital in Haskell, Texas. Mrs. Wright was 84. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, January 12, 2015 at Willow Cemetery with Pastor David White officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Susie was born on June 8, 1930 in Wills Point, Texas to Lottie Mae (Miller) and R.B.Hodges. Susie married Miles Otis Wright on January 1, 1948 in Haskell, Tx. Susie enjoyed gardening, baking, and her grandchildren.

She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Haskell, Tx.

She is preceded in death by her parents, R.B and Lottie Mae Hodges and 1 Daughter Molly Sue Friske, son-in-law Bill Friske, and 4 brothers.

Susie is survived by her husband of 66 years, Miles Otis Wright; her 2 daughters Shirley Wright of Rapid City, SD and Becky Jane Wright of Hawley, Texas. 2 sisters Lee Harris of Wylie,Texas and Mary Frances Pearson of Mt. Pleasant, Texas and over 50 grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great grandchildren.
