Thomas Matlock

Thomas J Matlock, 90 of Abilene, TX went to join the Lord on Thursday May 3, 2018 in Kennedy, TX. A memorial service will be held at 2:00p.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Gillespie Baptist Church, Munday, with Bro. Matt Harrington officiating. Burial will follow services at Knox City Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Knox City.

Mr. Matlock was born September 10, 1927 in Hale Center, TX. He was a carpenter his entire career and spent much of that time traveling and building Churches around the south.

Mr Matlock is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, one son Kirk Matlock and one daughter Gene Scott.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Margaret Anne Matlock, a daughter Deanna Kaiser of Kingsland TX, two sons, Randall Collier of Roanoke, TX and Greg Collier of Denton along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
