Tim Laughlin

Timothy Laughlin, 59, of Rule, Texas, passed away August 29, 2023. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the Sweet Home Baptist Church in Rule, with Dr. Russell Stanley officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Rule Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Rule. A visitation is planned from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday September 1, 2023, at the funeral home, 600 Robins Ave., Rule, Texas.

Timothy was born April 21, 1964 in Abilene, Texas to Patricia and Jerry Laughlin. He enjoyed helping others in Rule, doing anything they needed. He loved to ride his scooter. He was a member of the Sweet Home Baptist Church in Rule, Texas.

He is survived by his parents Patricia and Jerry Laughlin of Rule; two sisters, Tina Menchaca and husband John of Mexico,  Julia Soriano and husband Neftali of Hendersonville, NC., and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded by his brother, Micky Bob Laughlin.
