Timmothy (Tim) Darwin Watson, 60, passed away Sunday morning, June 17, 2012 at his home in Vera. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at the Red Springs Baptist Church in Red Springs with Rev. Gary Schnable and Pastor Shannon Waters officiating. Interment will follow at the Vera Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes of Knox City. Visitation is planned for Tuesday evening, June 19 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Tim was born February 12, 1952 in Knox City to Thomas Paul (T.P.) and Nettie Mae (Langley) Watson. He has lived in Knox City most of his life and was a rig supervisor for Basic Energy Services. Tim married April D. Tears in Knox City on February 14, 1998.
He is preceded in death by his father, T.P. Watson; 1 brother, Randy Watson; and 2 sisters, Phyllis Gaston and Teresa De Los Rios.
Tim is survived by his wife, April D. Watson of Vera; mother, Nettie Mae Watson of Knox City; 2 daughters, Misty Watson Rocha of Tuscola, and Melissa Northrup of Wichita Falls; 3 sons, Aaron Watson of Tuscola, Donnie Northrup and Derrick Northrup both of Seymour; 3 brothers, Tom Watson of Midland, Arly Watson of Springtown, and Terry Watson of Haskell; 2 sisters, Cathy Watson of O'Brien and Martha Casillas of Knox City; 7 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
